Where Things Come Back

Where Things Come Back by John Corey Whaley, is a really good mix of about every genre, theres a bit of mystery and fiction, but theres an equal amount of non fiction and factual parts ( they might be fake, but John Whaley made them seem true). The book might not have been a re-read and it might've not been my favorite book EVER but it was a good enough book that kept me going until the end.

                 My connection to the characters.

I feel like since there were so many main characters that I couldn't really connect to them, and even if the book did focus on Cullen ( the super main character) the most, it was the hardest to attach to him as a character because so much was going on, and Cullen's antagonist or problem did occur until the middle/ end of the story while the other characters had there challanges from the beginning. the character i connected to the most was Benton Sage, i believe that i connected to him the most because Im at the age, where you are expected to act like an adult and treated like a child, and that was how bentons life played out.

How did the main characters change?

There was a total of three main characters, each i feel i connected to in a way, as i said earlier, i didn't connect very well with Cullen but I connected really well with the other two main characters Cabot and Benton. Cullen really changed because he was almost like the dummer boy of shiloh, he was this solem kid that really didn't have much to look up too, and throughout the book he started to get more confident and he had one thing really keeping him going: his brother and i feel like his feelings twoards his brother and his love of his brother really made him become this better/ different person. Cabot was Bentons best friend, and cabot really just tried so hard to be his on person but still be a part of Bentons life and follow Bentons religion. Cabot did so much wrong in the story that its safe to say that he changed in a bad way. i cant say what benton did because thats a spoiler

In the end i appreciate the story but i didn't love it, and i wouldn't recommend it
