Non-Fiction Reading Response
The article "Ad Uses Hurricane Sandy To Bash Mitt Romney Over Climate Change" by Jason Koebler really brings up some current issues of : how can something be perceived differently then intended. There was an add relested shortly after hurricane sandy any it had made many comments about Mitt Romney and his wrong doings, but the men that put out this advertisement weren't trying to endorce Obama they were just trying to make specific details open and clear to the public, and even if the details were mainly about Mitt Romney that doesn't mean the advertisement was pro obama, that just means that there were more bad comments towards Romney than Obama.
I feel like its really hard for most people to accept and agree with other peoples opinions, if you live by something and you believe something whole heartedly you are going to defend it with all that you've got because it means something to you, and thats how the people watching the advertisement reacted. Hurricane Sandy was a lot bigger then most people expected so when a advertisement voices something specificlly about one topic people will react.
Overall i think that the people that created the advertisement were at no wrong, they believed that Mitt Romney was at wrong, and he had no positive contributions to helping victims in hurricane sandy. so they created an advertisement about it. people voice there opinions, we all do it every day, maybe the advertisment should've been more calm and maybe it shouldnt've aired, but it did and now people are paying the price/
